What are your products?
Soulful Shrooms produces mushroom-based food supplements available in liquid extracts and capsules. Our formulations are built around clearly defined extracts, declared ingredient quantities and authorised UK health claims where applicable.
Are your products medicinal?
No. Our products are food supplements. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our products are manufactured in Estonia in facilities operating under controlled EU food supplement production standards.
Ingredients & Extraction
What is dual extraction?
Dual extraction is a process that uses both water and alcohol to extract different groups of naturally occurring compounds from mushroom material.
Water extraction typically targets polysaccharides and beta-glucans, while alcohol extraction can isolate triterpenes and other alcohol-soluble compounds.
What does a 15:1 extract ratio mean?
An extraction ratio such as 15:1 indicates the concentration of raw material relative to the final extract.
It describes extract concentration — not potency, effectiveness or overall quality.

Does a higher percentage of polysaccharides mean a better extract?
Not necessarily.
Polysaccharides are one class of naturally occurring compounds in mushrooms. While they are commonly used as standardisation markers, mushrooms naturally contain a wide range of compounds including beta-glucans, triterpenes, sterols and other characteristic constituents.
A higher total percentage of polysaccharides does not automatically mean an extract is more complete or more suitable. Extract composition depends on:
• Species
• Part used (fruiting body or mycelium)
• Extraction method
• Standardisation approach
Standardisation markers describe measurable composition — not guaranteed outcomes.
What does standardised mean?
Standardisation refers to measured levels of specific marker compounds within an extract.
It describes measurable composition — not physiological effects or medical outcomes.
Why isn’t the highest beta-glucan percentage always best?
Beta-glucans are a specific subgroup of polysaccharides. They are often highlighted in marketing, but they represent only part of the natural compound profile.
Different mushroom species contain different characteristic compounds. For example:
• Chaga is associated with melanin complexes and triterpenoid derivatives
• Reishi contains triterpenes and sterol compounds
• Lion’s Mane contains hericenones and erinacines
Extracts standardised to very high levels of a single compound group may reflect selective extraction rather than the broader compound profile naturally present in the mushroom.
Why are extracts used instead of raw mushroom powder?
Extraction concentrates specific compound groups naturally present in mushrooms and makes them more available within the finished product.
Raw mushroom powder contains the whole dried mushroom material, while extracts are produced through controlled extraction processes that isolate and concentrate certain compounds from the raw material.
What is the difference between fruiting body and mycelium?
The fruiting body is the visible, above-ground part of the mushroom.
Mycelium refers to the root-like structure that grows through a substrate.
Different products may use fruiting body or mycelium depending on species and formulation. For example, some Cordyceps extracts use defined mycelial strains such as CS-4.
Each product page clearly states which form is used.
Are your products organic?
Some raw materials are certified organic and marked accordingly with an asterisk (*) in the ingredient list.
The entire product may not necessarily be certified organic unless explicitly stated.
Usage
How should I take the liquids?
Take the recommended daily serving as stated on the product page. Shake well before use.
Liquid mushroom extracts may have a naturally strong flavour due to the concentrated compounds present in the extract. If preferred, the extract can be diluted in a small amount of water or another beverage before consumption.
Can liquid extracts be mixed with drinks?
Yes. Liquid extracts can be taken directly or mixed into a small amount of water, tea, coffee or another beverage if preferred.
Mixing the extract with a drink can help make the flavour milder while still consuming the recommended serving.
Why do liquid mushroom extracts sometimes taste strong or bitter?
Liquid mushroom extracts can have a naturally strong or slightly bitter flavour because they contain concentrated compounds extracted from the mushroom material.
Many of the characteristic compounds found in mushrooms — including polysaccharides, triterpenes and other naturally occurring constituents — contribute to the flavour profile of the finished extract.
This taste is a normal feature of concentrated botanical extracts.
Can I take more than the recommended dose?
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Can I take multiple products together?
Some customers choose to use more than one product. If doing so, consider the total intake of vitamins and minerals where applicable.

Does Energy & Power contain caffeine?
Yes. Energy & Power contains green tea extract, which naturally contains caffeine. The caffeine content per serving is clearly stated on the product page.
This product may not be suitable for individuals sensitive to caffeine.
Why don’t you make stronger health claims?
UK food supplement regulations only permit authorised health claims linked to specific nutrients.
We choose to operate fully within these regulations and focus on ingredient transparency rather than exaggerated statements.

Why are Latin species names listed on the label?
Mushroom species are often identified using their scientific (Latin) names to ensure accurate identification of the botanical source.
Different species can contain different characteristic compounds, so listing the scientific name helps provide clarity about the exact ingredient used.
Why do some extracts vary in colour?
Natural mushroom extracts can vary slightly in colour depending on the species, extraction method and concentration of naturally occurring compounds.
Variations in colour are a normal characteristic of botanical extracts and do not affect product quality.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free UK delivery on orders over £65.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically processed within 1–2 working days. Estimated delivery time is 2–4 working days.
Can I return a product?
You have 14 days to cancel your order under UK regulations, provided the product is unopened.
Opened supplements cannot be returned unless faulty.

How should I store my supplements?
